A look at the Cheapest and Most Expensive cars to insure for 2011

Cars, when are on roads, are always insured. Most of the car investors constantly look forward to invest in cars and search for the most expensive as well as the cheapest cars insurance. In 2011, some of the cheapest car insurance options are SUV’s, crossovers and minivans according to invest.com.

According to Russ Rader, spokesperson, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the logical reason behind this car insurance being cheaper than other insurances is because it is a family vehicle and is less likely to encounter accidents and crashes, as compared to sports cars and flashier luxury cars.

In the arena of most affordable insurance, Chrysler Town & Country LX minivan is the top pick in 2011, with an average annual premium of $1,092. Dodge Grand Caravan is yet another option for the most affordable insurance. According to insure.com, the most expensive car insurance for 2011 is the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG roadster. This is also one of the most expensive cars of 2011 with a pricing of $198,750 and the costs for its insurance would be $3,544 for single driver who has clean record. The insurance cost is probably the second thought after affording such a costly car.

Last year in 2010, the insurance costs for minivans such as Kia Sedona and family cars sedans were unsurprisingly still cheaper to insure than the German sports cars. The difference in the insurance for the different models is mainly due to the vehicle’s loss behavior and the costs it will require for its repair. Looking at the car insurances for these two years, it is obvious that the same deflection will be observed in the coming years.
